Situated within the 23,000ha Manyoni Private Game Reserve, Zebra Hills Safari Lodge is a perfect break-away for the discerning wildlife and lodge enthusiast.

The Lodge

Available on a self-catering basis for rental at reasonable rates, the 6 room Main Lodge or 3 room Homestead (which also has 3 attached family rooms) can either be rented separately or together. Every room is air-conditioned with en-suite bathroom facilities. A back-up generator is available when power supply is down.

Our kitchens are a chef’s delight or make use of our excellent cook who can prepare delicious meals. Each lodge has its own pool and boma, the perfect venues for sundowners and a braai overlooking a busy floodlit waterhole that often teems with game including lion, buffalo and elephant.

The 7 room Main Lodge or 4 room Homestead are available for rental at reasonable rates, which include 2 game drives per day with a qualified field ranger.

Main Lodge

All but one bedroom in the Main Lodge have their own en-suite private bathroom with a shower and/or bath and are air-conditioned.

Homestead

Each Homestead suite has a master bedroom, 2 of which have attached family rooms sharing a bathroom with a shower and/or bath.

The Big 5

Home to an impressive variety of wildlife including the sought-after about ‘Big 5’, time in the Manyoni Private Game Reserve is sure to be thrilling and memorable. Other highlights might include our breeding pack of African Wild Dog, Cheetah, Serval, Spotted and Brown Hyena, Pangolin or Aardvark. Landscapes in the reserve range from rolling hills of open Acacia savannah, lush riverbeds lined with giant Sycamore figs and bright Fever trees, dense thickets favoured by the elusive Black Rhinoceros, towering mountains and cliffs and scattered waterholes often thronged with thirsty animals.

Zebra Hills boasts two comfortable open safari vehicles and our rate includes two daily game drives with a qualified field ranger on this superb Big 5 game reserve…

It was a great privilege to spend time at Zebra Hills. The Homestead is a spacious, well-appointed and very comfortable "home-from-home". The staff are warm, friendly and so helpful. We spent 6 nights at Zebra Hills and as a family safari experience we had a wonderful and unforgettable time. Seeing Zebras and Giraffes on the way in was a taster of what was to come. The lodge is comfortable and homely and manager Brent and his staff do all they can to create a welcoming and relaxed environment. The game drives and evening boma were highlights for us and the experience of Wild Dogs up close and a Lion roaring next to our safari jeep as the full moon rose over the distant mountains will live long in the memory. It was a privilege to be there. We highly recommend this place!

We have just returned from a 3 night stay at the Zebra Hills Homestead. The homestead is self catering luxury accommodation. But don’t let the self catering put you off, the only thing we did was buy the food. Thabi cooked us the most delicious food for breakfast and supper. We didn’t lift a finger. The price also includes two game drives a day. We saw the big 5 in one day with our guide, Wonderboy. The lodge overlooks a very busy waterhole. It has a shared pool with the other house. The deck is a wonderful way to relax between game drives. It is also child friendly, we took our one year old along on every game drive. Highly recommended.

I had an absolutely stunning weekend at Zebra Hills! The staff come to greet you as soon as you arrive and from that moment you feel as though you are at home.The rooms are large and open with a great balance of luxury and simplicity, and it was so relaxing to bring food but not have to cook or clean! Thanks to the warm and knowledgeable guides we had the good fortune of seeing cheetahs a few meters from the car and sat amidst a herd of elephants, along with seeing rhino, hippo and 2 lions sharing a meal. I look forward to returning to Zebra Hills over the years so that we can keep exploring the reserve from a place where we feel so safe and cared for.
