Our stay was simply magical. So much so that we went back, and got engaged there! The folk looking after you are world class, friendly and ready to assist in any way that they can. The accommodation gives you the sensation that you've disappeared into a romantic out of Africa scenario. What a pleasure, leaving you desperate to return. It's not often you get that home feeling, away from home.

It was a great privilege to spend time at Zebra Hills. The Homestead is a spacious, well-appointed and very comfortable "home-from-home". The staff are warm, friendly and so helpful. Our dedicated ranger, was incredible. Passionate about the bush, the animals & birds, his gentle sense of humor & knowledge made every game drive an extraordinary experience for everyone from my octogenarian father to my 11-year old nephew.

Zebra Hills offers it all, comfortable, spacious accommodation, wonderful outdoor area with a great views and staff are excellent. Game rangers are knowledgeable and pleasant. In four game drives we saw everything we wanted to see. A privilege to be there.

If you are looking for a Zululand game reserve experience in a comfortable lodge where friendly service is the name of the game . . look no further than Zebra Hills. Having recently returned to Zebra Hills after a magnificent first visit, we were spoilt yet again with amazing game sightings including a cheetah kill Our rangers were very knowledgeable and the friendly service from all the staff at Zebra Hills was top draw. A very friendly and relaxed atmosphere, the evening boma experience is just my favorite and a great place to come with families or a group of friends! Thank you to all the staff for making our stay yet again so enjoyable!

We spent 6 nights at Zebra Hills and as a family safari experience we had a wonderful and unforgettable time. Seeing Zebras and Giraffes on the way in was a taster of what was to come. The lodge is comfortable and homely and manager Brent and his staff do all they can to create a welcoming and relaxed environment. The game drives and evening boma were highlights for us and the experience of Wild Dogs up close and a Lion roaring next to our safari jeep as the full moon rose over the distant mountains will live long in the memory. It was a privilege to be there. We highly recommend this place!

We were privileged to spend 3 nights at Zebra Hills Safari Lodge at the end of our holiday. All I can say is "wow what a great experience". Having visited various reserves, both Private and National, we found Zebra Hills to be a truly great place for bush lovers. Our guide Brent was very knowledgeable and has exceptional hearing and spotting capabilities. The viewing was superb with Lions every day, Elephant, Rhino both black and white, a huge herd of buffalo, Cheetah and lots of general game and birds. Staff all very friendly and accommodating. Nothing was too much trouble. Lodge and rooms very comfortable and of a very high standard.

We have just returned from a 3 night stay at the Zebra Hills Homestead. The homestead is self catering luxury accommodation. But don’t let the self catering put you off, the only thing we did was buy the food. Thabi cooked us the most delicious food for breakfast and supper. We didn’t lift a finger. The price also includes two game drives a day. We saw the big 5 in one day with our guide, Wonderboy. The lodge overlooks a very busy waterhole. It has a shared pool with the other house. The deck is a wonderful way to relax between game drives. It is also child friendly, we took our one year old along on every game drive. Highly recommended.

From the location, the reserve, the view, the staff, this is one of the best experiences we had in Africa. Highly recommended...

I had an absolutely stunning weekend at Zebra Hills! The staff come to greet you as soon as you arrive and from that moment you feel as though you are at home.The rooms are large and open with a great balance of luxury and simplicity, and it was so relaxing to bring food but not have to cook or clean! Thanks to the warm and knowledgeable guides we had the good fortune of seeing cheetahs a few meters from the car and sat amidst a herd of elephants, along with seeing rhino, hippo and 2 lions sharing a meal. I look forward to returning to Zebra Hills over the years so that we can keep exploring the reserve from a place where we feel so safe and cared for.

We had a fabulous two night stay at Zebra Hills. The Venue is great for families and kids of all ages. Fully fenced around the Houses which allows the little ones the freedom to explore. Great Meals around the campfire and days filled with laughter around the swimming pool after an early morning Game Drive. Great game viewing and knowledgeable Game Rangers. We will definitely be returning to this wonderful place soon.

We spent 3 days at the lodge with 10 family members and it could not have been more perfect. The lodge had stunning African decor, a beautiful outdoor pool area and big, comfy rooms. The central bar was a great spot for late-night chats and the fire pit area was beautiful on the clear nights! The staff were so, so lovely and the food was unbelievable. We supplied all ingredients and they cooked, they were five star chefs!

I was fortunate enough to stay at Zebra Hills Lodge with family and friends and it was absolutely amazing! The lodges are beautifully appointed and so luxurious with the most comfy beds. The staff are professional, friendly and polite. Our guide Johan was so knowledgeable and determined for us to have the best game drive each time we went out.

We had the most wonderful few days at Zebra Hills. Nothing was too much trouble. Monique and Johan run a fantastic lodge. The staff are all very warm and friendly. Service is a priority of every one of the team. Thank you for the heavenly few days in the bush. The food, the setting, the game drives all exceeded all my expectations.

I cant wait to go back! This place is all you could want for, great freindly staff and wonderful clean accommodation in the middle of a game reserve!! Being able to relax in a sunken deck pool whilst watching wild animals stroll down to the watering hole just outside the fence was just so incredibly relaxing. The game drives were also amazing, with the very knowledgeable rangers. Oh and I almost forget to mention great food !! As I said, cant wait to go back....

We had an amazing stay at Zebra Hills over the weekend. The staff were incredible and the facilities where 5 star. We thoroughly enjoyed our game drives and having two in one day was an absolute treat. We`ll be back for sure!

Having grown up in South Africa and visited some of the top reserves in the country, we have to say that Zebra Hills ranks up there with the best of them. A true African bushveld big five experience with the comfort of a luxury lodge. Few things compare with sipping sundowners on the glorious deck overlooking the Zebra Hills waterhole with its abundance of wildlife. Accommodating young children in a malaria free area is a major plus. Best holiday ever - we look forward to enjoying another amazing holiday there again!

Such a beautiful lodge and landscape; thanks for the awesome stay! Sightings were amazing, especially the wild dogs!!!

What a fantastic place! The birding and mammaling were spectacular. Our guide was very nice and extremely knowledgeable. And the accommodations at the lodge were wonderful. Listening to the lions roar at night is a memory that will stay with me for life. Thanks for such a memorable visit.

Absolutely incredible. Both the staff and accommodation are fantastic. The rooms in the main house are large and comfortable with an en suite. There's a large deck area with a pool and nearby boma, which have a close view of a watering hole. The lodge has smaller rooms (a combination of double beds, twin singles and bunks) with a bit of an unusual layout, as one can only access the two bunk rooms via the double rooms. All rooms have aircon, which was a blessing. There's wifi, but it's unreliable outside of the centre of the main house. I went on 5 game drives over 3 days, and every single one was exciting. Johan, our experienced guide, was excellent at being both informative and keeping us on edge as we tracked down animals. Words cannot describe the experience we had on those game drives. I feel like I could go on for ages about our stay. It was one I will never forget.

A wonderful stay at Zebra Hills, as usual. Fantastic game viewing. Fabulous game rangers, Johan, Monique and Wonder Boy. All the staff are very friendly and nothing is too much for them to do cheerfully and well.

Fantastic game viewing and great staff who are helpful, friendly and knowledgeable. The reserve offers an abundance of wildlife and a really great South African bush safari experience. Will definitely return!

Great place for booking a private group of people. Willing staff and excellent game viewing made a brilliant trip.

Fantastic experience. The accommodation is second to none with first class fittings and furnishings throughout. Highly recommended. The drive guides Kegan and Wonderboy (yes really that is his name) are very knowledgeable and experienced. The vehicles are nearly new and in very good condition with canopies. Although you bring your own food and drinks the staff will help out with preparing meals. We saw so many animals in their own environment absolutely brilliant.
